Driving Lessons

  • General Information
  • FAQ

All driving lessons are given in New York State-certified teaching vehicles with dual controls. We use late model Toyota Corollas and Camrys for the lessons.

Typically you will call to make an advance appointment. You can also now submit driving lesson reservations on-line via the links at the bottom of this web page.

The assigned instructor will arrive to pick you up at your home or office at no extra charge. You will then enjoy a full 60-minute session behind the wheel with your AAAA instructor covering various subjects depending on your skill level.

First time drivers will normally be driven to a quiet secluded area where there is little or no traffic in order to acclimate to the vehicle safely. Topics will normally include the following:

  • Steering
  • Accelerating
  • Braking
  • Turning
  • Observation skills
  • Mirrors and blindspots
  • Speed and time awareness
  • Changing lanes
  • Dashboard controls
  • Backing up
  • Pulling away from the curb
  • Parallel parking
  • Shopping center parking
  • Highway entrances/exits

Road test review and practice tests will be utilized as well. But remember - you want to learn to drive! Not only learn to drive, but to pass your road test!
